Rear Wing

Social Technologies Activity
On a Formula 1 car, the rear wing is the large wing located at the rear of the car. It creates downforce that pushes the car down onto the track and creates more grip. It is perhaps the most noticable aerodynamic component on the car. Nowadays, wings are on sports cars everywhere, but Formula 1 was the first to incorporate downforce-creating wings on cars. They taught the world about the potential of wings and downforce. Similarly, thsi project was about teaching others.
For this assignment, we were told to create a lesson for our peers about social technologies. The topic that my group chose was "Technology Beyond the Educational Setting". We split this topic into four sub-topics: business, leisure, social movements, and personal communication. There were several different elements to our lesson. Firstly, we had a Google Slides presentation about each sub-topic. Secondly, we had an activity for each sub-topic. These activities ranged from exploring other social technologies, to a class discussion. These activities were all hosted on Edmodo, an online teaching platform.
I chose to include this activity in my e-portfolio because it incorporated many things that we learnt in this course, as well as teaching me many new things. It was challenging to create interesting activities for the class, so I reflected on what activities I had liked doing in this course, and I incorporated them into my lesson.
