Engine

     Formula 1 engines are very complex pieces of machinery. They require very sophisticated facilities to design and build. Many teams do not have the facilities or the mony to build an engine, so they buy it from another team. Similarily, many people can not take images they wnat themselves, so they buy them from others. 

     In this assignment, we were told to make a collage about a well known subject. The catch was that we had to use pictures that were creative commons licensed. I chose to make my collage about the city of Paris. When doing this assignment, I initially had no idea how to find creatice commons liscened images. However, thanks to openverse, it was rather simple. Openverse is a database of creative commons licensed media, and I used images from Openverse to create my collage. 

     I chose to put this collage in my e-portfolio because it changed how I use images. Before I did this collage, I would take images for schoolwork such as presentations from anywhere. This assignment taught me images can not be taken from anywhere as doing this often violates copyright laws. Instead, I have to use images with the proper creative commons licenses. Since learing this, I have used properly liscensed images any time I need images.
